#Hahaa...ini juga lagi2 PR les bahasa Inggris saya, penuh cacat memang, tapi sekali lagi, terharulah karena saya mau menulisnya dengn ikhlas dan tidak serius...:))
“Facebook addicted, heh...?” I was suprised when my English
mentor, Tino, said that word. At that time I thinking about his word, of course
I wanna know how about my position. Am I a facebook addicted or not? And how
about your position? But that is not our point for this time, because that is will
be my personal secret only...hehe.
After the class, I’m still thinking about that. And
Tino’s word succes make me looking for something like ‘what is Facebook effect
in our real live’? Then I ask to my second teacher when I’m at home, Mr.
Google. Mr. Google always help me a lot. He give me much article about Facebook
effect. For a while I take an easy conclusion that Facebook is not always in
positif form.
I find The Daily Mail report that said, facebook addicted
or another site like it, is harmful for healthy because it triggers someone to
isolate themselves. The increasing isolation of self can change the ways our
genes work, confusing the immune responses, hormone levels, arterial function,
and destroy mental performance. Wow! I was surprised, I dont know it before.
That article also said, a relationship will be shallow,
each personal don’t like to attend social gathering and avoid meeting with
friends or family and social activities. They prefer stay on their computer or
mobile phone, and they afraid ‘be separated’ with it. This attitude will made
the Facebooker difficult when they communicate face-to-face. And this behaviour
may increase the risk of serious health, such as cancer, stroke, heart desease
and dementia, that is what Dr Aric Sigman said in The Biologist, the journal
was released by The Institute of Biology.
According to him, the electronic media also slowly
destroys the ability of children and young adults to learn social skills and
body language. It
make Dr Sigman
worry about this problem. Social networking sites don’t become a tool
that can improve the quality of our life, but rather a tool that makes us the wrong direction.
That’s
it. At the end, you have your personal decision, be smart.
